HubSpot Seats

Summary of HubSpot Seat features

Note: This is updated as of August 10, 2026 and HubSpot moves features as they improve their system.

Use HubSpot’s official seat documentation for the most complete, up-to-date comparison of View-Only, Core, Sales, Service, Revenue, Partner, and Developer seats:
Full overview of HubSpot seat types and access levels

Basic overview of each seat in your account:

  • View-Only Seat – free, unlimited; can view records, dashboards, reports, and be a billing admin, but cannot edit records, change settings, manage tools, save reports, or log emails.
  • Core Seat – access to core features in all hubs you’ve purchased (and Sales/Service features on Starter tiers).
  • Sales Seat – full access to all features in Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise.
  • Service Seat – full access to all features in Service Hub Professional or Enterprise.
  • Revenue Seat – full access to all features in Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise.
  • Revenue Seat – Commerce/Revenue Hub notes in the same article explain, for example, that Core Seats in Revenue Hub Pro/Ent can view, but not create/edit, quotes; Commerce seats are required to create/edit quotes.
  • Partner Seat – free seat for eligible Solutions Partner employees with full access in a client portal.
  • Developer Seat – free, access only to the developer platform (not combinable with another seat or Super Admin).

Here’s how those seat types break down for meetings, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and quotes, based strictly on what HubSpot documents as of August 10, 2026.

1. Meetings scheduling access by seat

  • View-Only seat – cannot create scheduling pages.
  • Core seat – can create one personal One-on-One scheduling page.
  • Sales seat – can create multiple scheduling pages and team scheduling pages.
  • Service seat – can create multiple scheduling pages and team scheduling pages.

2. Sales seat vs Core seat

  • Core seat
    • Access to “core” tools in the hubs you’ve purchased.
    • In meetings: limited to a single one-on-one scheduling page.
  • Sales seat
    • Provides access to all features included with Sales Hub.
    • In meetings: can create multiple scheduling pages and team scheduling pages (this is a concrete example of something a Sales seat gets that a Core seat does not).

3. Service seat vs Core seat

  • Core seat
    • In help desk: users with Service or Sales access but no Service Seat are limited to the default views: My Mentions, Following, and All Open.
  • Service seat
    • Provides access to all features included with Service Hub
    • Required to access advanced help desk features like:
      • Custom views
      • SLAs
      • Reply recommendations
    • Required (along with the right permission) to create, edit, delete, and even view custom help desk views.
    • In meetings: can create multiple scheduling pages and team pages (vs. a single page with a Core seat).

4. Revenue seat vs Core

  • Core seat in Revenue Hub – can view quotes, but cannot create or edit them.
  • Revenue seat – required to create and edit quotes.

5. Quick visual summary (only for the features documented above)
